Electrical Engineering

The Electrical Engineering department offers a comprehensive, industry-aligned curriculum that covers the entire electrical power system—from generation, transmission to distribution and efficient utilization. Students develop a robust understanding of essential machinery and protection systems, including motors, generators, transformers, transmission lines, relays, circuit breakers, and fault analysis techniques.

The program seamlessly integrates vital allied domains such as electronics, digital electronics, power electronics, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). This ensures that diploma holders are equally proficient in conventional heavy-current systems and modern automation technologies.

In line with contemporary educational standards, the newly revamped curriculum places a strong emphasis on holistic development. It incorporates a strategic blend of soft-skill-enhancing subjects—including English and communication skills, Yoga, the Indian Constitution, and various interdisciplinary courses—to cultivate well-rounded, socially aware, and confident professionals.

Beyond academics, our institute is distinguished by state-of-the-art laboratories that offer exceptional practical exposure, a consistent track record of excellent campus placements, and a highly disciplined environment that fosters overall student growth and career readiness.

Small activities like seminars, projects, speak on certain topics kept going on at department as extra co-curricular activities. As we believe every small effort is also part of grand success. Here faculty does their best for the overall developments of students.

HOD

Being a teacher, I would first like to thank all my students for their love, cooperation, patience, and for the knowledge that I have gained while imparting knowledge to them. Knowledge is the only potential that grows both side when shared.

My own academic foundation began with a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Green Hills Engineering College, Kumarhatti, Solan. I joined the Department of Technical Education, Himachal Pradesh, in October 2012 as a Lecturer at Government Polytechnic Sundernagar, and in December 2018, I had the honour of joining this esteemed institution at Banikhet.

Our polytechnic boasts excellent, well-equipped laboratories that provide rigorous hands-on training. We are supported by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are dedicated to the holistic development of every student. Our institute has good placement record; a remarkable number of our alumni have successfully secured prestigious government jobs and are excelling in various public sector undertakings.

Today, our entire faculty is working with a unified mission: to make this institute distinct in all fields. We doing all small efforts and assure they will be brick of grand success soon. We are committed to producing not just skilled engineers, but disciplined, ethical, and innovative professionals ready to contribute to nation-building.

Work hard, stay curious, and remember—your potential is limitless.
